More overtime or set up a business???

All the way back in 2016, we saw someone flying a drone. Being completely naive about the concept, we asked what they were doing.

They went on to explain how they are filming the progression of a large construction project for the owners.

Still baffled, the drone pilot offered to show us how his DJI Phantom 3 flew and explain the business.

We went, saw the drone and were hooked…

We then set about setting up a Drone business. We got onto a PfCO course (now called GVC) and bought a drone, on repayment, from Jessops.

The more we discussed the idea the more friends and colleagues couldn’t believe it was possible to make a business out of drones.

Someone said -

“You cant make money from Drones mate, Pigs will fly before you will”

Then Scott just blurted out,

“Pigs CAN Fly!!”

From there the name stuck and we set about doing everything we possibly could to make it work - just like everyone else.

In 2018 we became a CAA National Qualified Entity - the old name for Recognised Assessment Entity (RAE). Our focus turned to training.

With our background in the Military and Emergency Services, we preferred -

2. No Nonsense

3. Practical and relatable training

We hope we have managed to do that.

In late 2019 we jointly formed another company called AutoSpray Systems Ltd.

This company is focused on operating drones over 100Kgs in weight and dropping articles for Agricultural uses (Crop Spraying).

As you can see from the pictures, our fleet has developed since 2016 :-)
